Privacy Policy

This policy describes what SnugRate actually collects and does with it. The short version: calculators run in your browser and send us nothing; if you submit a quote or contact form we store what you typed and use it only to respond; we use analytics to understand how the site is used; and we never sell your information.

Information you give us

When you submit the quote-request or contact form, we collect what you enter: name, email, phone (optional on some forms), property address, and basic loan details. We deliberately do not collect income figures, credit information, Social Security numbers, or dates of birth through this website — that information is gathered by the licensed professional handling your quote, over a secured channel. Calculator inputs on tool pages stay in your browser and are not transmitted.

How we use it

• To prepare and deliver the written quote or response you asked for.
• To send you a confirmation email when you submit a request.
• To honor your contact preference — if you choose email-only, you are not called or texted.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your submission is shared only with the licensed mortgage professional who prepares your quote.

Where it's stored

Form submissions are stored in a managed Postgres database (Supabase) and delivered by a transactional email service (Resend). Records are retained while we may need them to serve you and to meet record-keeping obligations that apply to mortgage-related communications; you can request deletion at any time (see “Your choices”).

Analytics and cookies

We use product analytics (PostHog) and performance analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to understand aggregate usage — pages visited, tools used, and general performance. These may set first-party cookies or use browser storage. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks. Site preferences such as your theme choice are kept in your browser's local storage.

Market-data lookups

Some tools can fetch market context (like typical rents for a ZIP code). Those lookups send only the ZIP code or similar non-identifying parameters to the data provider — never your name or contact details.

Your choices

• You can use every calculator without creating an account or giving us any contact information.
• You can choose email-only contact on the quote form to opt out of calls and texts.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your submitted information via the contact form. We honor deletion requests regardless of your state of residence, subject to records we're legally required to keep.

Changes

If our data practices change, this page changes with them and the date above is updated. Material changes will be noted prominently on this page.
